Echelon FitNation Flex Bike Ultra - $229.99
While shopping for an exercise bike, realizing that the Echelon Connect Sport Spin Bike (see thread here) was both too expensive for my needs and OOS anyway (it's now available for preorder), I stumbled across the Echelon FitNation Flex Bike Ultra, a smaller, less-expensive but well-reviewed exercise bike that sells for only $229.99 (+ $12.99 shipping + 5% tax).
BestBuy sells the same bike for $399.99, but don't bother trying to pricematch. I tried twice, and both times the agents found completely bogus reasons not to pricematch.
WalMart sells it for $329.98.
Only the Royal Blue variant is currently in stock, but check back often. The Black variant was available for preorder just a few days ago (it's now OOS), and the Royal Blue variant just came back in stock today.
"Multiple levels of adjustable magnetic resistance ensure that you'll be able to challenge yourself, while built-in resistance bands allow you to work your upper body as well. The LCD display has six functions to track your progress: speed, time, distance, scan, calories, and pulse. When you're finished, simply fold up and wheel away for easy storage."
Can be configured in an upright or recumbent position.
Promotional video here, so you can see what kind of bike this is:

I just bought this, albeit, from Kijiji. It was essentially brand new. For the money, so far I can say it's excellent value. It provides a great workout and I actually use the bands. It's fairly light but sturdy and it has a tiny footprint when folded.
With that being said, I do have two complaints. I wish the handle bars tilted. When you use it in the most reclined position, I wish the handle bars could be more upright. This only affects it when I'm trying to get my heart rate. The side handles are better for this position anyway. And, I guess that's what my Fitbit is for. The second complaint is that the seat angle isn't adjustable either. So as you adjust the recline on it, the seat angle changes. This is minor and I've gotten used to it.
Great deal!!

Looks very similar to the one sold by costco for $160. Its OOS stock now but seems to get restocked regularly for those willing to wait.

Thank you for the post OP. I planning to buy it at Walmart for 329,90, but they just have the red model in stock now. At least the royal isn't that bad.

A similar option is the Stamina Wonder Exercise Bike for $265.32 from Home Depot. Mine was just delivered and hasn't been assembled yet.

I have one and if you mean smooth as in the ride quality, absolutely. It's quiet and provides plenty of resistance to provide a great work out. I use mine coupled with the Peloton app and a Apple Watch to keep track of heart rate. The seat is wider than most with a back rest which makes doing a 45 minute workout less stressful on the bottom

Close to pulling the trigger. Looks like it doesn't ship until March? Can anyone confirm? Thanks!

Royal Blue variant is in stock and should ship soon, assuming their warehouse is open despite the COVID pandemic.

Thank you, and are you able to get your hearth rate some what high? Like a real high intensity workout?
Thank you !

Do any taller people have experience using this? Looks interesting, but want to make sure that I'm not too tall for it (I'm 6'1").

This has resistance ranges from 1 to 8. In the 6 and 7 resistance range I can easily get my heart rate into the 150+ range. Every person will be different based on their level of conditioning, but for the casual user, this will do the trick, IMHO.

A few reviews mention that it is basically impossible to use for people over 5'9. Can any current owners confirm?

Ended up buying the xterra fb350 on walmart (same price on amazon) for 180+tax. Time will tell if it was a good decision to save 50 dollars.

I have this and it often makes a clicking noise when pedaling - quite annoying. Another small quirk, and maybe it's just mine, but level 7 and 8 (the highest levels) feel exactly the same, same resistance.
Resistance bands are pretty useless - can't get a full range of motion and you're actually doing yourself a disservice by doing only quarter bicep curl reps, and quarter range back rows. The one exercise that works well while riding are side laterals (full range of motion here is OK).
On the plus side, this works nicely with my standing desk (just fits right below the desk), so I'm on it sometimes when working/on the laptop. I must say, however, I barely break a sweat on level 6 for 60mins while on it. I'm not sure how many calories are really getting burnt up, as I've stayed the same weight and I've been using it for well over 3 months (I know, I know...could be due to many factors).
Overall, it's functional, compact, and easy to move around.
